7. Species distribution models
Seven species have been selected based on their representativeness of different guilds, their distribution in the studied estuaries and local relevance, taking into account also their frequency of occurrence in the estuary: Dunlin, Golden Plover, Redshank, Bar-tailed Godwit for waders; Shelduck, Pochard and Brent Goose for wildfowl.Multiple regression models were applied to each one of these species in order to identify the main environmental determinants of their habitat use within the studied TIDE estuaries.
