Monitoring
Monitoring is still in progress and is included in the global monitoring of the Scheldt estuary (Moneos). Also, a multidisciplinary monitoring program is installed similar to the monitoring of the other restoration projects (Paddebeek, Paardenschor, Ketenisse): changes in geomorphology (sedimentation-erosion plots (sederoplots), sederoplates, profile measures, orthophotos), sediment characteristics (granulometry, organic %, pigment, physicochemistry), benthos (oligochaeta) and vegetation (mapping and PQ’s).
